What would the world look like on one day if every person reached out to make a difference in the lives of 10 people – one person each hour for 10 hours? B.I.O.N.I.C. wants to know on our 10/10 - I Care Day on October 10th. What a great way to say “Believe It Or Not I Care” to your family, friends, school, business, church, and/or community!
We encourage three types of outreaches on 10/10 - I Care Day:
- Individual outreaches
- Group outreaches
- Community Service Projects
Here are some ways to reach out:
- Say “hi” to a stranger
- Open the door for someone
- Call your Mom and tell her you love her
- Bring bagels for the people in your office
- Thank a teacher
- Call a friend you haven't talked to in a while
- Drop by your kids' school to take them out for lunch
- Pay for someone’s coffee in the car behind you in the drive thru
- Buy flowers for a secretary
The B.I.O.N.I.C. Team started at a school after suicides of four teens who went through difficult times and needed to know that people cared. Now B.I.O.N.I.C. is a nonprofit making a positive difference in schools, businesses, churches, and communities, and in society as a whole. On October 10th we hope no one will feel left out or that they don’t matter.
If you need outreach ideas, you can purchase our 10/10 - I Care Day Kit for (1) your school or (2) your business below with about 30-pages of ideas, templates, and strategies that you can tailor to your school/home school, and/or your business. For ideas for your family, we recommend ordering the school kit. We will follow up by e-mail to find out which one(s) you want and to answer any questions you may have personally.
An example of one of the forms you can use is the 10/10 - I Care Day Card below that you can download and print right now. Here is another example of a card in the Kits that we have given to our Fire Department on 10/10 - I Care Day with a platter of cookies. Just print it, fold it in fours, and add your personal note. Impact your world on October 10th
Inspire others with what you're doing by posting a 10-second video on our BIONIC Facebook page of one thing you will do on October 10th to make a difference (if you go over 10 seconds that is okay). Simply state your name, your school/business, grade/position, and one thing you will do on 10/10 - I Care Day to make a difference in someone's life. Your video will help give others ideas too. Also post on Twitter and re-tweet using #bionic1010. Post on Instagram too!
